Dear Dave:
I want to preface this letter by saying that I have never before taken the time to send a letter to
any person or company, but I was so impressed with the service I recently received from you and
your associates at All Star Auto Salvage, I felt I had to let you, your boss Keith, and your
customers know how happy I was with my experience! My story is titled "6 Words".
On Friday, January 12, our youngest daughter, who drives a 2001 Mercury Cougar, loaned her
car to her older sister for the day. Her older sister got into an accident that day causing damage to
the right front end! The car was towed to our local body shop where the owner said, "We’ll have
this car back on the road in a week or two". The repairs were going pretty smoothly for the first
week, but after about a week and a half, we received a call from the body shop that started off
with "6 Words" I really didn’t want to hear ... "Mr. Doyle, we have a problem!" When I asked
him what the problem was, I honestly thought he was kidding when he said, "We can’t find a
passenger side headlamp assembly for a 2001 Mercury Cougar anywhere". Well, he wasn’t
kidding! Turns out this particular part has been on "mega-back order" since last October!! So I
asked the body shop owner what we have to do now and his response started off with "6 Words"
my 17-year-old daughter really didn’t want to hear ... "We wait until one comes in!"
At this point, my wife and I figured that you should be able to fmd anything and everything on
the internet ... anything of course, except for a passenger side headlamp assembly for a 2001
Mercury Cougar! On Saturday, February 3, during one of my many internet salvage yard
searches, it appeared that you might have the part I needed! I found your website~ and phone
number and left a message on your answering machine. On Monday, February 5, you returned
my call and said that you did indeed have the part I needed ... the part that couldn’t be found
anywhere else! You even sent me an email with six pictures of the part! I was still skeptical
though and had to check the part number from one of your pictures with my body shop and
Mercury dealer’s parts department! After doing that, I called you back and you started the
conversation off with
"6 Words" I really DID want to hear ... "I guarantee it’s the right part!"
You said you would ship it out that day, which you did! You said I would receive it on
Wednesday, February 7, which I did! You said it would be the right part, which it was! The
bottom line is my daughter is thrilled to have her car back but if it wasn’t for All Star Auto
Salvage, it would still be sitting at the body shop waiting for a passenger side headlamp
assembly!! I would like to thank you for the outstanding service I received and assure you that I
would not hesitate to use and personally recommend All Star Auto Salvage in the future!!
